Vivian is a dedicated and highly skilled physiotherapist specialising in neurological and vestibular rehabilitation, with extensive experience in managing patients across the acute, subacute, and community rehabilitation settings. Her clinical expertise spans neurological, orthopaedic, and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, with a strong passion for helping patients regain independence, confidence, and quality of life through evidence-based and personalised care.

After graduating with a Degree in Physiotherapy from the Singapore Institute of Technology in 2016, Vivian further pursued her postgraduate studies in Japan and obtained a Master of Health Sciences from the International University of Health and Welfare in 2026, where her research focused on vestibular function and trunk muscle control in the elderly.

Vivian has extensive experience managing patients with a wide spectrum of neurological conditions, including stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and complex neurological disorders requiring multidisciplinary rehabilitation.

During her time at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) and TTSH Integrated Care Hub (TTSH-ICH), she developed deep expertise in both acute and subacute neurological rehabilitation, helping patients improve mobility, balance, strength, and functional independence through targeted rehabilitation programmes.

Her approach focuses on individualized treatment planning, functional retraining, and patient-centred goal setting to maximise recovery outcomes and improve long-term quality of life.

Expert in Vestibular Rehabilitation

Vivian has a special clinical interest in vestibular rehabilitation, with advanced academic training and research experience in this field.

She is highly experienced in assessing and managing a broad range of vestibular conditions including Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV), vestibular migraine, central vestibular dysfunction, vestibular neuritis, and motion sensitivity.

Her vestibular rehabilitation programmes are designed to reduce dizziness, improve balance, restore confidence in movement, and help patients safely return to their daily activities.

Expert in Robotics and Technology-Assisted Rehabilitation

A strong advocate for innovation in rehabilitation, Vivian has extensive experience integrating robotic therapeutics and gamification into neurorehabilitation programmes to optimise functional recovery.

She is proficient in utilizing advanced therapeutic technologies including Robotic-Assisted Gait Training (EKSO), Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES), and Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES) to improve mobility, muscle activation, and patient engagement during therapy.

Her innovative approach allows patients to benefit from highly targeted, evidence-based rehabilitation designed to accelerate recovery and improve long-term outcomes.

Expert in Orthopaedic and Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation

In addition to her neurological expertise, Vivian has extensive experience in orthopaedic and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, managing patients recovering from surgery, prolonged hospitalisation, and complex medical conditions.

Her broad clinical exposure allows her to deliver holistic rehabilitation programmes that address strength, endurance, mobility, and functional independence across a variety of patient populations.

Leadership and Clinical Education

Beyond direct patient care, Vivian has demonstrated strong leadership and education capabilities throughout her career.

At Tan Tock Seng Hospital, she played a key role in conducting and leading annual competency audits for therapeutic modalities including NMES, TENS, and treadmill-based rehabilitation protocols, ensuring high standards of clinical practice across teams.

Since 2021, she has also served as a Certified Clinical Educator under the Singapore Institute of Technology, mentoring physiotherapy students and junior clinicians in evidence-based clinical practice.

From 2024 to 2026, Vivian further expanded her teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant at the International University of Health and Welfare (Narita), Japan, where she supported both theoretical and practical physiotherapy education across modules including kinesiology, functional anatomy, electrophysical agents, and physiotherapy assessment.

Vivian is passionate about international collaboration, community health, and service-led healthcare.

During her time in Japan, she actively contributed to community outreach exercise programmes for the elderly, supported international student programmes, and assisted with Japanese-English-Mandarin interpretation, strengthening communication and healthcare accessibility across cultures.

Her academic and leadership potential was recognised in 2025 when she was awarded the prestigious Rotary Yoneyama Memorial Scholarship (Graduate). Through this fellowship, she actively participated in volunteer work, cross-cultural presentations, and community service projects with Rotary International, further deepening her commitment to holistic and community-driven healthcare.
